If you have recently moved into one of South East Queensland's booming new estates, you already know the drill. Boxes everywhere, furniture still in flatpacks, the kids running around on bare concrete because the lawn hasn't been laid yet. And somewhere in the middle of all that chaos, the laundry basket is overflowing before you have even found the pegs.
Quick Answer
Fresh Folds delivers laundry services to all new estates in Yarrabilba (10.5 km from base), Flagstone (7 km), and Ripley (18-20 km). We run regular delivery routes through growth corridor suburbs on weekdays and Saturdays.
Moving into a brand new home is exciting, but it also comes with a mountain of practical stuff that needs sorting. The laundry is one of those things that just does not wait. Towels from moving day, bedding that needs a wash after being stored, school uniforms that are due tomorrow morning. It piles up fast.
That is exactly why Fresh Folds exists. We are a family-owned, eco-conscious mobile laundry service based in New Beith, QLD 4124, and we service the growth corridors of Logan, Ipswich and Brisbane South. If you have just moved into Yarrabilba, Flagstone, Ripley or any of the surrounding estates, we pick up your dirty laundry and bring it back fresh, clean and folded.
The New Estate Laundry Problem Nobody Talks About
Here is what happens when you move into a new estate. Your laundry machine might not even be connected for the first week. Or maybe it is, but your clothesline is not up yet. The dryer is buried behind three boxes labelled "kitchen stuff" and you cannot find the laundry powder because it is in the garage somewhere.
Even once you are set up, the first few months in a new home are flat out. You are meeting neighbours, registering kids at school, working out which bin goes out on which day, and trying to figure out why the dishwasher keeps beeping. Laundry falls to the bottom of the list, but the dirty clothes do not stop coming.
For families with young kids, it is even more relentless. Between school uniforms, sports gear, towels and bedding, a family of four can easily generate 20 to 30 kilograms of laundry per week. That is hours of washing, drying, folding and putting away, time you simply do not have when you are still settling in.
Fresh Folds Services the Growth Corridor Suburbs
We are based in New Beith, which puts us right in the heart of the growth corridor. That means we are not driving from the other side of Brisbane to reach you. We are local. We know these suburbs because we live here too.
Here is how close we are to the major new estate areas:
- Flagstone is roughly 7 kilometres from our base. One of the largest master-planned communities in the region, with new families moving in every week.
- Park Ridge sits about 8.5 kilometres away. A well-established area with newer pockets of development still growing.
- Yarrabilba is around 10.5 kilometres from New Beith. A huge estate with thousands of homes and more being built all the time.
- Logan Reserve is approximately 11 kilometres from us. Another fast-growing suburb with plenty of young families.
- Ripley is about 18.5 kilometres from our base, part of the rapidly expanding Ripley Valley corridor.
- Ripley Valley sits around 20 kilometres away. The broader precinct is expected to house tens of thousands of residents over the coming years.
We service over 200 suburbs across Logan, Ipswich and Brisbane South, but these growth corridor estates are a real focus for us. New homes, new families, and a genuine need for practical help during that settling-in period.
The Advantage of Having Laundry Sorted from Day One
Think about it this way. You have just moved in. The house is a mess. You have got a hundred things on your to-do list. If you can take laundry completely off that list from the very first week, that is hours back in your pocket every single week.
Some of our customers in Yarrabilba and Flagstone signed up before they even had their laundry set up properly. They booked a pickup for the first week after moving in, handed over bags of towels, sheets and clothes, and got everything back washed, dried and neatly folded. No stress, no hunting for the iron, no arguments about whose turn it is to put a load on.
It is not just about the move-in period either. Once you get into a routine with a regular weekly pickup, it becomes one of those things you wonder how you ever managed without. Your weekends open up. Your evenings are freed from folding piles on the couch. The laundry room stops being a source of stress. For more practical strategies on managing household laundry, our tips for busy families has you covered.
What a Typical Weekly Pickup Looks Like
Let us walk through what it actually looks like for a family in one of these new estates.
Monday Morning: We Collect
You leave your laundry in bags near the front door or in a spot we agree on. We pick it up during our collection run through your area. You do not even need to be home. Just leave it out and we will grab it.
Tuesday or Wednesday: We Wash, Dry and Fold
Your laundry goes through our professional wash and fold process. We use eco-friendly detergents, commercial-grade machines, and everything is carefully sorted, washed at the right temperature, dried properly and folded neatly.
Wednesday or Thursday: We Deliver
Your clean, fresh laundry comes back to your doorstep, ready to go straight into drawers and wardrobes. Turnaround is typically 48 hours, sometimes quicker depending on the day.
The whole pick up and delivery process is straightforward. No apps to wrestle with, no complicated systems. Just text us or give us a call on 0409 853 283 and we sort the rest.
Pricing Example: A Family of Four
Let us crunch some realistic numbers for a typical family in Yarrabilba or Flagstone.
A family of four, two adults and two school-aged kids, usually produces around 20 to 25 kilograms of laundry per week. That includes everyday clothes, school uniforms, towels, activewear and the odd bedsheet.
At our Wash & Fold rate of $5.50 per kilogram, that works out to:
- 20 kg week: $110 for the wash and fold, plus $12.50 for pick up and delivery = $122.50
- 25 kg week: $137.50 for the wash and fold, plus $12.50 for pick up and delivery = $150
Our minimum order is $60, which most families easily reach. If you want items ironed as well, our Wash & Iron service combines $5.50/kg for the wash with per-item ironing from $2.75. Most families do wash and fold for the bulk of it and just add ironing for work shirts or school shirts.
When you factor in the cost of your own water, electricity, detergent, wear and tear on your machines, and most importantly your time, the numbers make a lot of sense. Especially in those first few months when time is your most precious resource.
Why New Estate Families Keep Coming Back
We find that most families who try us during the moving-in period end up sticking with us long term. The reason is pretty simple. Once you experience having your laundry done for you every week, going back to spending your Saturday mornings in the laundry room feels like a step backwards.
Parents in these new estates are often both working. The commute from places like Ripley or Yarrabilba into Brisbane can eat an hour each way. By the time you get home, cook dinner, sort the kids out and collapse on the couch, the last thing you want to think about is three loads of washing.
Fresh Folds takes that entire job off your hands. We are not a big faceless corporation either. We are a local family business. You will deal with the same people every week. We remember your preferences, your schedule, and how you like things done.
How to Book Your First Pickup
Getting started is easy. Here is what to do:
- Get in touch. Call or text us on 0409 853 283, email hello@freshfolds.com.au, or fill in the form on our website.
- Tell us your suburb and what you need. We will confirm we service your area and walk you through the options.
- Pick a collection day. We will work out a regular day that suits your area and your routine.
- Leave your laundry out. Bag it up, leave it at the agreed spot, and we handle everything from there.
That is genuinely all there is to it. No lock-in contracts, no hidden fees, no minimum commitment beyond the $60 per order minimum. Try it for a week. If it works for you, we set up a regular schedule. If not, no hard feelings.
Servicing the Suburbs That Are Growing the Fastest
The growth corridors south and west of Brisbane remain some of Queensland's most active greenfield housing areas. State and council planning documents continue to identify Yarrabilba, Flagstone, Ripley, Ripley Valley, Park Ridge and Logan Reserve as priority growth communities.
Fresh Folds is growing with these communities. As new streets are built and new families move in, we extend our collection routes to make sure everyone has access to a reliable, affordable laundry service. Being based in New Beith means we are perfectly positioned to reach all of these suburbs without long travel times, which keeps our costs down and our turnaround fast.
If your estate or street is brand new, do not assume we cannot reach you. Give us a call and check. Chances are we are already servicing your neighbours.
