Quick Answer
Fresh Folds provides pickup-and-delivery laundry support for NDIS participants across Logan, Ipswich, and Brisbane South. We wash and fold at $5.50 per kilogram with a $60 minimum per pickup and a flat $12.50 delivery fee, and we provide itemised invoices that a plan manager can process. Laundry assistance may be funded if it is included in your NDIS plan under the relevant support category, so confirm with your plan manager or support coordinator before you book.
Laundry support that comes to your door
Washing, drying, and folding can be genuinely difficult or unsafe for people living with a physical disability, a psychosocial condition, or a degenerative illness. Lifting wet laundry, reaching into machines, hanging clothes on a line, and standing to fold are all physically demanding. Our NDIS laundry service removes that burden: we collect your laundry from your door, wash and fold it with commercial equipment, and return it clean and ready to put away. You do not need to be involved in the process or even be home.
Fresh Folds is a pickup-and-delivery laundry service across Logan, Ipswich, and Brisbane South. This is the same wash and fold service we provide to households, organised around regular, scheduled support for participants, carers, and support coordinators.
Is laundry covered by the NDIS?
Laundry assistance may be funded if it is included in your NDIS plan under the relevant support category, which for many participants sits within Core Supports as part of assistance with daily life. Whether it is funded, and how it is claimed, depends on your individual plan and how it is managed. We are not able to confirm your funding for you, so please check with your plan manager or support coordinator before booking. They can confirm whether laundry assistance is included in your plan and how to claim it.
Fresh Folds is not a registered NDIS provider. Self-managed and plan-managed participants can generally choose any provider, including providers that are not NDIS registered, but you should confirm your own situation with your plan manager or support coordinator. If your plan is managed by the NDIA directly, the rules around provider choice can be different, so it is worth checking before you arrange a service.
How it works for participants
The service is designed to be as easy as possible for participants, carers, and support teams.
- Regular scheduled pickups: we agree on a frequency that suits you, weekly, fortnightly, or another pattern, through our pickup and delivery service. Leave your bag at the door or an agreed safe spot on your scheduled day.
- Labelling for shared homes: for participants in supported independent living or shared accommodation, we tag each bag by name so items come back to the right person.
- Detergent preferences: if you need a fragrance-free detergent or a specific approach, we note it on your account so it applies to every wash.
- Itemised invoices: after each service we send a clear invoice showing the date, laundry weight, service rate, and delivery fee, formatted so a plan manager can process it.
Who it helps
NDIS laundry support is not limited to one type of disability. Participants with spinal injuries, mobility impairments, chronic pain, or limb differences often find laundry one of the hardest tasks to manage. For participants with psychosocial disabilities, even basic domestic tasks can feel overwhelming during difficult periods, and a regular scheduled service helps maintain a stable home. Participants whose conditions worsen over time, and family carers who need a practical break, also benefit from having laundry handled externally.
What it costs
Pricing is the same transparent wash and fold rate we offer everyone: $5.50 per kilogram, with a $60 minimum per pickup and a flat $12.50 delivery fee per trip. A typical individual's weekly laundry of 5 to 8 kg comes to roughly $40 to $57 including delivery. There are no lock-in contracts and no hidden fees. See our full pricing breakdown for every rate. How this is paid, directly by you if self-managed or through your plan manager if plan-managed, depends on your plan.
How to get started
First, confirm with your plan manager or support coordinator that laundry assistance is included in your plan and how it should be claimed. Then request a quote or call us, let us know you are an NDIS participant, and tell us your preferred pickup frequency and any requirements. Your support coordinator, plan manager, carer, or a family member is welcome to contact us on your behalf.
